Have the words “2nd shooter” popped in your wedding planning research?
If you’re shopping for a wedding photographer, you’ve probably noticed that some of the more expensive packages include a second photographer. Maybe you’ve found yourself asking, “Do I need TWO photographers? Isn’t one enough??”
But sometimes capturing every detail of your big day is a big responsibility for just one photographer. Especially if you’re inviting over 100 guests.
If you’re planning a large wedding — like, over 100 guests — definitely hire a 2nd shooter.
A 2nd shooter will ensure you get photos of things happening at the same time. For example, you don’t want your photographer to have to choose between capturing you walking down the aisle or your partner’s reaction. You’ll also want photos of you saying your vows and your loved ones tearing up in the front row.
A 2nd shooter ensures you’ll get multiple perspectives of the day! Every photographer will notice something different on your day or will see it through a different set of eyes. Having a second photographer ensures that no moment goes missed.
