Jessica and Joshua’s engagement photos at McKinney Falls State Park were the perfect way to encapsulate their relationship.
These two first met when Jessica was working as a part-time Recreation Therapist at a partial patient clinic for the Army up in Fort Hood. While Joshua was going through the enrollment process, Jessica conducted an assessment on him. Jessica said Joshua left a lasting impression because he was unlike most guys she’d met. They started talking shortly before she moved to Oklahoma, and it turned into a long-distance relationship.
Fast forward to last Christmas, when Joshua surprised Jessica with her dream doggie — a schnauzer named Eleven. He took the gift a step further by proposing when they went to pick the pup up. Joshua waited until the breeder was taking a picture of the two of them with their newest family member and then he got down on one knee. So sweet!
When we were planning their engagement session, the couple mentioned that their favorite hobby to do together is to take Eleven hiking at different state parks. In fact, their dream date is going camping with their dog. I knew we had to incorporate their love for the outdoors and their dog in their engagement session.
We had a great time hiking around the park, sitting by the waterfall, and splashing around during their engagement photos at McKinney Falls. And now I’m extra excited for their Gatsby-themed wedding at the Mansion this fall!
